KL Cheapest City On Earth
The Wall Street Journal of Oct 21-22 decided to test UBS' claim that Kuala Lumpur is the cheapest city on earth. By "the cheapest city on earth" they mean "the least expensive major city that includes a 'typical' overnight package of an upscale hotel room, meals, transportation and theatre outings." Indeed the author stayed at the Shangri-La, ate delicious multi-course meals, took taxi rides at ~.50 a mile and spent around $200.
So when is somebody going to open a direct flight from KL to anywhere in the US?(It was not noted that Kuala Lumpur translates as something like "Muddy city").
